What an online teleprompter is for

A teleprompter shows your text next to the lens and scrolls it at your pace. You no longer have to learn your script by heart, or restart the take every time you forget a line. You look at the camera, so at the person watching you, and you say what you planned to say.

Most people who film themselves trip over the same things: going blank mid-sentence, eyes drifting to their notes, and ten takes for a thirty-second video. A teleprompter fixes all three at once.

Prompto brings the whole workflow into one app. You write your script, on your own or with AI. You film yourself with the text scrolling over the camera image. Then you add captions, remove the silences and export in the right format for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn.

How it works, in 3 steps

  1. Write your script

    Paste your text, or give the AI your topic: it drafts a script with a hook, a body and an ending, which you edit however you like. Short sentences are easier to read out loud.

  2. Film yourself while reading

    Choose the format (vertical 9:16, 4:5, square or horizontal 16:9), set the speed and text size, then hit record. The text scrolls under the lens and your eyes stay on the camera.

  3. Caption, trim, export

    Trim the start and end of the take, add captions, translated if you want to reach another audience, and export a video that is ready to publish.

What is free, and what is not

The teleprompter is free, with no time limit on the plan: up to 10 videos a month, each up to 2 minutes long, in all 4 formats, with simple editing (trimming the start and end) and a 720p export that carries the Prompto name.

AI script writing and translated captions use AI credits. They are included in the 3 day Pro trial (25 credits, no credit card), then in the paid plans. The Pro plan (from €5.99 a week) removes the limits on length and number of videos, exports in 1080p and adds silence removal. The Business plan exports with no mention at all.
